Spencer is best known for playing James Burns in the 2014 drama Jamesy Boy. He played a teen who had been incarcerated for drug and gun possession. He followed up his roles in Angelina Jolie’s 2014 and 2015 crime dramas Dixieland and Unbroken, both of which were filmed in the same year.

In the 2016 biopic King Cobra, which focused on Sean Paul Lockhart’s early career as a gay adult film star, he starred alongside Molly Ringwald and Christian Slater, and he subsequently reprised his role as John Travolta’s on-screen son in the 2018 film Gotti.

The actor had previously chosen to remain largely out of the public eye, and he never made an official announcement about his acting break.

He was given 50 days of community service for his misdemeanor hit-and-run assault in 2013 after colliding with cyclist Camille Banham. She had to use a wheelchair until she was able to walk once more after breaking her hip and several fractures.

Camille claimed that she had stopped considering the entire ordeal as an accident two years after the incident because she claimed the actor had not assisted her at the scene.

She said, “I used to refer to what happened to me as an accident, and it would have been an accident if Spencer had stayed and helped me after he got out of his car and saw me hurt on the side of the road, but he had instead chosen to leave me.”

Even so, Spencer’s attorney, Michael Levi, stated later, “It was an accident.” Not bringing his identification to the scene was the crime here. You have to consider what happened before rather than what happened after, and that’s not what caused her injuries.

Spencer decided to live a much quieter life in the years that followed, starting a business called Fire.
