Joel Dommett’s craziness surrounding the London Marathon’s 2025 season has caused chaos as he ran the risk of resigning from the race. The 39-year-old Masked Singer host was laced up and ready to go on Sunday morning as he joined a flurry of runners from across the country competing in the renowned annual race.

Joel’s busy schedule for the day, which included launching the marathon just after performing in Leeds, was shared by him before he set off. The TV star planned to leave at 9 a.m. the following morning after a sold-out show on Saturday night.

Joel had to leave for his young son Wilde in three hours to attend his race in September 2023 along with his 36-year-old wife Hannah Cooper. However, Joel’s lapses on the way around the capital caused a spanner to be thrown in the mix.

When the TV host arrived in Canary Wharf, which was about halfway through the run, he was spotted requiring assistance. As he continued along the route, two other people spotted him being held up.

As Joel began to walk, his speed dramatically decreased as he wore a vest that clearly showed the charity he was supporting, Brain Tumour Support. He was scheduled to finish the race in three hours, but after seven hours he was told to expect to do so.

In the end, Joel completed the race in 6 hours, 3 minutes, and 27 seconds. He appeared winced as he left the marathon’s setting while posing with a medal in hand and a cheerful smile.

Later, the actor planned an ice bath at 3 p.m. and was scheduled to start filming a project at 5:45 p.m., with his shorter running time likely having an impact on his plans. Joel had urged fans to donate to the charity he had chosen prior to the race.

I’m attempting to run a sub-3 hour London Marathon this year before I’m 40 years old, he wrote on his donation page. I’m attempting to raise money and raise awareness for brain tumor support.

After supporting my wife Hannah after her mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor, he went on to explain the details of the charity. Thank you so much for everything that you can donate.

Joel and McFly drummer harry Judd posed for photos before the race, sharing a photo of themselves getting ready to compete together. “HerE WE GOOOOOOOO! ” the presenter remarked. Have fun with @harryjudd with this dude.

Some fans expressed concern that Joel appeared to have hit a stumbling block during the run. One fan wrote in the comments section of his Instagram post: “Lost your tracking at mile 15. Hope you finished OK.”

Another fan, who was also tracking the star, wrote, “What happened Joel! After 15 miles, your chip failed to recognize anything. “I’m hoping you’re okay,”

Harry had been successfully raising money for the Children’s Trust before beginning the challenge. He had raised more than $100,000. Before the race even began, he also used social media.
