Joanna Page, the star of Gavin & Stacey, has not yet named him but does recall the horrifying incident in which she was sexually abused by a TV host in an interview.
Gavin & Stacey star Joanna Page says she was once groped by a TV host moments after being warned he could be ‘very handsy’.
In her newest autobiography, Lush!, the 48-year-old actress recalled the incident. From Swansea to Stacey and everything in between, this is my story.
Although she avoids naming the man because her legal team warned her to “be careful,” she still goes into great detail in the book, which will be available from September 25.
She claims a female producer warned her that the show’s host might be “very handsy,” saying, “He’s probably going to start touching you, but that’s just him.”

Joanna said she “sat there waiting for him to spring on me” and that she was “quite nervous” about meeting him anyway.
Joanna wasn’t having any of it when the host responded to the producer’s request and “middle of the filming begins to grope me”
She responds, “I hit his hands and said, “What do you think you’re bloody doing?” Keep your hands to yourself, ladies! Jesus, I feel like I’m being mauled by the lions at Bristol Zoo. He sat down.
A female producer telling you this was going to happen was strange, Joanna added, but it’s what you’ve been used to.
In an interview with The Times to promote the new book, Joanna also details the mortifying moment she once farted in front of Johnny Depp.
However, Joanna, the mother-of-four, admitted to once defecating in a plastic bag in a parking lot because she couldn’t leave her two young children in the car at the time to go find a loo.
She states, “I base everything on that moment.” I’m asked, “Is this as bad as sitting in a car and sh**ing in a carrier bag,” if I have a difficult audition or meeting. “
Joanna is best known for playing Stacey on the popular sitcom Gavin And The Stacey, which premiered its final episode last year and won the comedy award at the National Television Awards earlier this month. When it premiered on BBC One on Christmas Day, the episode received a massive 12.3 million viewers overnight.
She and soap actress Natalie Cassidy co-hosted the BBC podcast Off The Telly, and they have appeared in movies like From Hell (2001) and Love Actually (2003).
