Speaking to MailOnline, Oritse said: “We’re going to have different years. I mean, for example, people know that, unfortunately, my wife and I had two miscarriages, and we lost two babies. But now I leave home, and I get back home to a beautiful baby boy, the most beautiful baby boy in the world.”

He then went on to discuss how men can struggle with expressing their emotions during difficult times. He added, “I think it’s very important for men to not internalize their emotions because, as men, especially black men, we are so afraid of feeling weak, of being perceived as insecure, and of being emotional.” Being able to express our feelings, feel at ease with them, and share our feelings is very important for us.

I had that emotion inside for a very long time when we lost the babies, just from my own experience. There were Kazz’s and my wife’s emotions. She struggled with those feelings. I believed that my feelings were being hurt by her strength. She turned around and said, “Don’t you feel anything?”

“I just cried out on the floor, exasperated,” I said. And she needed to comfort and encourage me. And I was utterly mess. You don’t know what, though? I felt the most liberated in that because I believed I was only bubbling and bubbling internally and was just going through this cycle. And it was required to be made public.

Shiva Zion Olumidé Williams, the couple’s son, was 7 pounds 8 ounces when he arrived on October 3, 2024 at 6:47 a.m. On the day their specialists discussed IVF as a possibility, Kazz discovered that she was pregnant with Shiva.

The pair booked weekly private scans because they were anxious about having children despite having a naturally occurring conception. After her 20-week scan, Kazz started to relax and discovered she had gestational diabetes, so she had to alter her diet.
