Jesy Nelson has reportedly split from her fiancé, Zion Foster, shortly after the pair revealed their twins had been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1
Zion Foster sent a tearjerking message to Jesy Nelson before their split was revealed. The former couple, who heartbreakingly announced their baby twins have been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA) this month, have reportedly called it quits while remaining committed to co-parenting their adorable girls, Ocean and Story.
Before news of their break-up was reported on Sunday, musician , Zion, 26, took to Instagram praising Jesy for her strength, telling the former Little Mix star, 34, she was a “the definition of a superwoman”, adding “we are all one”.
Jesy has been praised by thousands of fans across the country for raising awareness about SMA – a rare genetic condition that kills the body’s muscles over time – asking the NHS to off a £5 heel prick test for babies to try and diagnose the potentially fatal condition, which the Mirror is supporting.

Thanking his former partner for her bravery in sharing the couple’s story, Zion wrote on Instagram: “We are all one. Jesy addressing a huge flaw in our healthcare system is the definition of a superwoman.
“Reality is, it’s indefensible and needs to be changed, simple. Test kids at birth for SMA in the UK now that there are revolutionary treatments available.“Thank you to the SMA community and wider community of those living with more unique challenges for accepting us, supporting us and fighting with us.”
Jesy gave an update on the twins in a brave appearance on This Morning as she revealed that little Story has to be on a breathing machine at night because she isn’t strong enough to breathe by herself.
The singer, who heartbreakingly admitted she just wants to be her daughters ‘ mum and not their nurse, was not wearing her engagement ring during the programme and Zion was nowhere to be seen.
At the weekend, the rapper shared a tearjerking poem in a tribute to the twins, who he hailed as “two little warriors”.
Posting a video of himself reading his heartfelt words, he said: “They said it’s unlikely you’ll walk, you may not be able to talk, probably won’t be able to hold your head up.
That is what Jesy and I both heard. Doctors only measure what they can measure, and it became so obvious as a result. What’s the matter then?
Two young warrior girls who already know how to fight, you always have strength in your lungs when you cry. Sincerely, the milestones are not my concern. doesn’t make life look different. My concern is more subtle, more profound.
Zion added that “accepting” and “loving” them as they are now, “without conditions, no matter what tomorrow brings” is his concern.
