After giving birth to a tragic miscarriage in November 2021, pop star Jessie J opened up about the pregnancy with her child.
Jessie J has revealed why she continued to work following her devastating miscarriage in 2021. The pop star had announced her pregnancy on Instagram, with delighted fans sending the sweet post viral.
However, just one day after sharing her baby news, Jessie tragically miscarried, forcing the actress to update her fans. The 37-year-old then performed on the stage in Los Angeles shortly after learning that her third scan had revealed that her heart was no longer beating.
Although the Dominoes singer gave birth to Sky, a healthy boy, in May 2023. Despite her miscarriage, she still has a lot of heartache. Jessie admits in a new interview that she regrets working during what she describes as “the saddest, loneliest time” but doesn’t regret it.
She acknowledged that it was challenging to let go of the object she had dreamed of six days after discovering that her baby “had gone.” While her sister struggled with the pain to carry on with her singing commitments, she moved to LA to be with her.
Speaking to Elle, former coach on The Voice, Jessie explained: “I’d booked this acoustic residency, six back-to-back shows and I still wanted to do the show.” She said she doesn’t regret the shows, but is still unable to work out if she enjoyed playing them.
Jessie continued, “I realized there’s a certain aspect to life that makes you feel unwho you really are.” That’s a complete translation of No Secrets’ “I chose the spotlight.” The desire to “push through and share” is strong.
She now claims that every time she performs No Secrets, she feels like “giving myself a hug.” In 2021, Jessie and her partner Chanan Colman started dating in 2021, and they welcomed son Sky in May 2023.
In an exclusive interview with the Mirror at Advertising Week Europe in London earlier this month, Jessie spoke more about her loss. She said: “You know losing a child is the worst thing, and I hate that so many people go through it because it is such a difficult experience to get through.”
Mother-of-one Jessie captured a number of happy images of her newborn son on Mother’s Day in March. She poses with Sky and his father Chanan, who appear modest in other photos.
Forever grateful is the caption to her post. Sky forever . In these pictures, I was 11 days postpartum and unsure of my actions. I’m not sure of everything. But I am aware of the fact that I adore this boy more than anything else.
