Finding Prince Charming star Jasen Kaplan passed away just two weeks after his ex-teammate Chad Spodick passed away ‘sudden’.
On New Year’s Eve, Kaplan tragically passed away in a hospital in New York City, according to Page Six’s report on Thursday.
The chief medical examiner will determine Kaplan’s cause of death, according to a spokesperson for the NYPD, who stated that an investigation is still being conducted into the 46-year-old man’s death at the late star’s apartment building.
Kaplan made his way onto the reality dating series’ first season in 2016, which ended in episode two. He also worked with stars like Cyndi Lauper, Lynda Carter, Kelly Osbourne, Bethenny Frankel, Sonja Morgan, and Eva Longoria.

Kelly Osbourne was one of those who paid tribute after hearing about Jasen. Five months after her father Ozzy passed away, the news is announced.
“I’m devastated,” On Thursday, January 1, Osbourne, 41, wrote via her Instagram Story, “I love you so much @JasenKaplan. Thank you for everything that [you] brought to my life, including love, laughter, and joy. I’m hoping you’re now at peace. Without you, life will never be the same. RIP, dear friend.
Jasen was a “my friend and a constant part of my team,” according to Bethany Frankel, who described him as more than just a makeup artist. He was close to her 15-year-old daughter Bryn. Jasen loved and adored my beautiful girl, and I’m holding her even more close. For both the life and the afterlife, you will always be a member of the B Team. No one will have heaven’s best glam like I do. Enjoy all the caviar and coconut cake while you rest peacefully.
He consistently appeared and encouraged me throughout my career, online, and at home. He has seen me in every way, from fixing my broken zippers to modeling my looks. You would be happier if you were his companion. She shared a story for him throughout.
“Jasen Kaplan had an uplifting energy that was unmatched.” She wrote in the caption an emotional message that “he was fun, vibrant, and always brought his A game.” She continued, referring to his “genuine” personality and how he had a genuine interest in everyone around him, adding that the world lost a one-of-a-kind gem on New Year’s Eve, which still doesn’t feel real.
In 2023, Kaplan also completed Tinsley Mortimer’s wedding to Robert Bovard, according to Kaplan.
He was well-known on social media, known as the “father” of his beloved dog Coco, and portrayed as the “love of his life.” Kappa was a contestant on the 2016 gay bachelor-style dating program “Finding Prince Charming.”
Chad Spodick, a fellow member of Finding Prince Charming, passed away in a suicide at the age of 42 last month. According to People, a Boca Raton Police Department spokesman confirmed the death to be suicide.
He also appeared on Lance Bass, a member of NSYNC, host of season one of the reality dating program in 2016. He left the show during week six before resuming his roles in a reunion episode.
On a GoFundMe page created on December 4, the ‘devastating’ news of his death had been confirmed. While Felice Harwood is named as a beneficiary, his mother also appears on the page to help raise $20,000 for his funeral expenses.
