The couple’s son, Ziggy, was born in the private wing of St Mary’s hospital earlier this month.

Jamie Laing has shared some adorable snaps of his new baby son after facing backlash following his comments about his wife’s maternity ward.

Sophie Habboo, 31, and her former Made In Chelsea co-star, 37, became proud parents to son, Ziggy, who was born in the private Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, earlier this month. However, after welcoming the tot, Jamie complained on TikTok that his bed at the £6,000 a night wing – where Kate Middleton gave birth to all three of her children – was ‘uncomfortable’, prompting ‘tone deaf’ comments from some of his followers.

Following the backlash, the reality star has jumped on social media again, however, this time Jamie’s posted sweet snaps of little Ziggy and Sophie as the family of three get ready for their first Christmas together.

As new mom Sophie hugs them in front of their lavishly decorated Christmas tree, Jamie and baby Ziggy can be seen wearing matching pyjamas in a photo. In another shot, Sophie poses in the family’s new bathroom, which is said to be worth £12 million after a 14-month renovation, staring adoringly at her bundle of joy.

This Christmas is lit @sophiehabboo, Jamie wrote in a caption to the carousel of photos, which also includes two of Jamie pushing his buggy through London and one of his sleeping son on the sofa.

Fans have expressed criticism of the reality star after he complained about Sophie’s maternity suite, which some have called out as being out of touch. Jamie was able to sleep in his own single bed to be near his wife and their young son as part of the pricey package at the Lindo Wing.

He later claimed to have had an uncomfortable sleep after the baby was born, but he jokingly posted a picture of himself holding his back in pain.

He posted a photo of his temporary bed on TikTok to inform his followers about the pregnancy and said to “Don’t limp, hold your back, or complain immediately after your wife has given birth because your bed was uncomfortable.”

While many people were aware of Jamie’s joke attempt, some of his followers appeared to be expressing their disapproval of his actions. Because they only gave us a small plastic chair, my partner ended up sleeping on the floor. Another person responded, “Omg you got a bed! You ought to check out the chairs in the hospitals for the less fortunate, “lol.”
