Lauren James’ availability for Sunday’s Euro 2025 final is unknown, according to England manager Sarina Wiegman.
With an ankle injury, James was substituted at halftime of England’s semi-final defeat to Italy on Tuesday.
After the remainder of the game, which ended in extra time before England won 2-1, she was seen applying ice to her ankle while she sat in the dugout.
England will face world champion Spain in the final on Sunday (17:00 BST) after scoring two goals in Switzerland.
She is still recovering, she said. She is working on the pitch, and we have two more days to give her time, according to Wiegman.
