The Detroit Pistons, who defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 128-106, did not disappoint LeBron James’ 41st birthday.

The Pistons, who are still top of the Eastern Conference with 25 wins from 33 games, are still without a season-worst three-game losing streak.

James, the NBA’s all-time top scorer, added 17 points, while Luka Doncic added 30 points and 11 assists for the Lakers.

James is only the 12th player in NBA history to play at age 41 or older.

In his record 23rd NBA season, he has now played 1,577 career games, second only to Robert Parish’s 1,561.

With 1.7 seconds left in the overtime period, VJ Edgecombe scored the winning goal for the Philadelphia 76ers over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The 76ers won the game 139-136, and the 20-year-old scored 25 points, including his potent three-pointer.

The 76ers ended a three-game losing streak with 34 points each for their team, led by team-mates Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

The Grizzlies lost back-to-back games to Ja Morant and Cedric Coward, who both contributed a career-high 28 points.

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics both won.
