James ‘Arg’ Argent, a former TOWIE star, made his way back to social media after being detained for assaulting Nicoline Artursson, his girlfriend.
After a turbulent couple of weeks, James Argent has returned to on social media, marking his first appearance since a troubling incident involving his partner, Nicoline Artursson, led to his arrest.
The former TOWIE cast member, 37, has been branded ‘shameful’ by fans after he posted an image to his Instagram Stories, where he was photographed alongside a friend at a black-tie charity event. In the caption, he wrote: “It was an honour to perform for The Wickers Charity raising over £100,000. So proud of @brogangarritsmith for all her hard work.”
As he posed for the camera at the classy London venue, Argent flashed sharply in a black tuxedo and bow tie. At the Wickers Charity Ball, an event aimed at reducing knife crime in the capital, he also performed live music with The Arg Band.
Unimpressed fans criticized the reality TV star when he returned to Instagram after being arrested. James and his partner Nicoline should be ashamed of himself, according to a source close to James and his sister. He appears to be trying to hide this by acting as though nothing ever happened. He took a serious course.
People who knew the couple as a couple were shocked to learn what had happened, but James is now seen laughing and entertaining the cameras. They continued, “It feels shameless.”
A Spanish court issued a six-month suspended prison sentence and a two-year restraining order just days after Argent, 37, received the performance. While the couple was on vacation in La Cala de Mijas, he had admitted to shoving Artursson.
According to eyewitness accounts, the confrontation escalated to the point where Argent was allegedly seen hurling clothing from a balcony and storming out of the property with a bag in hand. A bystander told The Mirror that they had comforted Artursson, who was visibly shaken.
The source remarked, “She was crying a lot. She appeared extremely anxious and distressed. She said, “My life with Arg was so happy before this,” and she was totally shocked. We planned to have a family, but I can’t believe what has happened. “
Just before midnight, police were called to the scene. By the time police and Artursson’s mother arrived, Argent had already left.
On suspicion of domestic violence, Spanish law enforcement confirmed that he had been taken into custody. Later, he was sentenced to a special court in Fuengirola for gender-based violence.
Reports suggest that Argent may also be required to attend a 10-week domestic violence intervention program, which includes hearing survivors’ testimony.
Following the court’s ruling, Argent broke his silence and said, “I haven’t relapsed.” I’ve been sober and clean for four months, three years. What has happened has devastated me.
James’ representatives have been contacted by The Mirror for comment on this story.
