The top scorers for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), according to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), were announced by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), with the best candidate receiving a 375.  ,
Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB Registrar, claimed Okeke Chinedu Okeke received the highest possible score of 375 out of 400 at the 2025 Policy Meeting in Abuja on Tuesday.
Oloyede claimed that the candidate from Anambra wants to study mechanical engineering and chose the University of Lagos (UNILAG) as his school of choice.
Ayuba Simon-Peter John, who is the second-highest scorer, received a score of 374 and is from Gombe State. The candidate chose Mechanical Engineering as his major after enrolling at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD).
Jimoh Olayinka of Kwara State chose UNILAG as his first option after receiving a 373. He wants to pursue mechanical engineering as his first major.
Male candidates are the only three top candidates for the UTME 2025.
