The “Problem Child” makes a comeback to the ring on Saturday night, but he was left feeling a little angry after having a heated discussion with Piers Morgan.
Jake Paul furiously STORMED OFF an interview with Piers Morgan just days before his return to action following a heated verbal exchange. The ‘Problem Child’ is scheduled to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in a cruiserweight clash in Anaheim on Saturday night.
The 28-year-old has not fought since beating former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson last November. Despite being expected to knock the boxing veteran out, the ‘Problem Child’ cruised to a victory on points.
With Paul in the final stages of preparations for the contest, the YouTuber-turned-boxer lost his cool and stormed off of an interview with Morgan following a furious exchange about the boxer’s upcoming fight and his boxing credentials. During the chat – which airs tonight on YouTube from 10pm UK time – the pair also came to blows about Paul’s controversial fight with Tyson.
The American grew more agitated before eventually fleeing in a Mexican sombrero, presumably to get into the spirit of his fight with Chavez Jr. Chavez is here on Saturday because I’m trying to fight the best people, not Mike Tyson, and that’s why.
“I want Canelo. I want Anthony Joshua. I want all these people. It’s been five years in this sport,” said Paul after Morgan responded that while Paul was a brilliant businessman, he was still fighting a 58-year-old man.
Morgan quickly cut in, replying: “But the problem is the only proper boxer you fought was Tommy Fury, and he beat you. He’s not even the best in his family.” Paul blasted back: “I mean, you can sit there and make up s***, but you actually don’t know your facts. I fought multiple boxers with professional records, and including Mike Tyson himself, who I think is going to be a harder fight than Chavez.”
Morgan quickly refuted Morgan’s claim that he would have toppled a top Tyson in a stunning claim. You don’t actually know that, Paul retorted, furious. You can’t just say that, “… Anything is possible, in my opinion. The most powerful thing in the world is self-confidence, which is why. You don’t believe I can be a Mike Tyson, he continued? You don’t go to the gym, in my opinion!
Morgan responded, “I believe you’re a fantastic influencer and YouTuber.” Although I admire your attempts to box, I do believe that everything could come to a head when you actually confront a legitimate, serious boxer, possibly Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. You seem to think that your opinion matters, Piers, because Paul spat back “brutally”: “I think the problem here is that you think your opinion matters.

Paul made a joke about how the host should have known better if he were doing his show by saying, “Oh, I’m just taking your audience to sell pay per views.” I’m not a fool about your show, you idiot. This is a f****** business. Purchase the pay-per-view on June 28 to watch Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Thank you for your patience, everyone!
The 28-year-old then turned the conversation around, leaving a bemused Piers who grinned and said, “Good luck Julio, everyone, knock him out for us, will you”
Paul had assuredly stated that he would finish the job on Saturday night before the chaos even began. I’m being so honest, man, this guy is easy work because he’s a dumb a**, and that’s going to be obvious on Saturday when he’s the one who gets knocked out.
Chavez Jr. hasn’t played much in the ring in recent years. Uriah Hall, the former middleweight champion, defeated the former UFC star after a three-year break. Chavez Jr. has already faced opponents like Andy Lee, Canelo Alvarez, and Daniel Jacobs, all of whom have a professional record of 54-6-1-1.
