Fans were blown away by JADE’s performance at Glastonbury this afternoon, where she used her platform to promote Reform UK.
Glastonbury Festival goers were left in awe by Jade Thirlwall, who used her performance to boldly express her disdain for Reform UK. The Little Mix star took to the Woodsies stage on Saturday where she delivered a rousing rendition of her hit FUFN.
A segment in which JADE compiles a list of things she wants to give the middle finger includes an acronym for “F*** you for now.” She chanted, “Reform! Reform! Transphobia ! shedding arms! The crowd resoundingly “F**** you!” as the crowd “genocide”!
Introduced by Doctor Who actor Ncuti Gatwa, the former Little Mix member became visibly emotional while introducing her top ten hit Angel of My Dreams.
She cried out to the audience, “Angel of My Dreams is literally me as a song, so thank you for showing me that that’s enough.” The lyrics to “selling my soul to a SYCO, they say I’m so lucky” are revealed in Angel of my Dreams, which explores the heights and lows of JADE’s 15-year career.
For their first five albums, JADE was formally a part of Little Mix under the name SYCO, Simon Cowell’s record label. JADE also took a moment to pay tribute to her Little Mix bandmates while wearing a large fur hat, green jeans, and a white T-shirt with the word “GLASTO.”
She stated, “I can’t begin to express how thankful I am to those girls for literally altering my life.” Who would have imagined, eh?
“That we’d have a Little Mix girlie up here on the Glastonbury stage. ” The performance was a hit, with one attendee posting: “she killed it! I love that the crowd knew her songs and that she mentioned Little Mix too”, reports Somerset Live
Jade is the biggest mixer ever, according to another fan, and I adore it. Some fans questioned Little Mix’s inability to perform at Glastonbury’s stages, saying, “The fact that Little Mix never got to perform at Glastonbury is a CRIME.
“I know JADE will give it her all for all three of them today,” he said. A gratified fan wrote, “JADE’s #Glastonbury set was utterly fantastic.” I can’t express how amazing that has made her feel.
Another gushed, “That #Glastonbury set from JADE is the kind that makes you go… yup, Pyramid stage soon.” Her political activism was also applauded for making “JADE screaming” FU’s justification for genocide “to a sell-out crowd at Glastonbury” one of the many reasons she is my absolute favorite.
It was noted as charming that Jade’s long-term partner, Jordan Stephens, also performed at the festival. On Friday, June 27, Jordan, who is also known as one of the Rizzle Kicks, invited his mother to accompany him onstage.
