As the world mourns the passing of his famous father, Jack Osbourne is set to make another appearance on television this weekend.
The Osbourne family is mourning the loss of their beloved patriarch, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, who sadly passed away at 76 on 22 July.
Jack, Ozzy’s youngest son, will make a comeback to television as they deal with their grief as he competes in the fifth season of ITV’s Cooking with the Stars, a celebrity cooking program.
The programme, hosted by Emma Willis and Tom Allen, was pre-recorded before Ozzy’s untimely death. Jack will be competing against a host of famous faces including Love Island’s Ekin-Su, EastEnders’ Natalie Cassidy and former footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips.
The celebrities are assigned to a culinary expert to help them through each round, but those with the lowest scores are given the opportunity to compete against their mentors, who are confined to the sidelines.
In a cruel twist, the mentors of those in the bottom two will have to endure a blind taste test to decide who progresses to the next round, potentially sending their own protege packing. Jack, a familiar face on television, is set to appear on the show this Sunday, 3rd August, at 8pm on ITV1, reports the Express.
The rockstar has six children throughout his life, despite the best efforts of many, including Kelly, who is well known as his sister from MTV’s At Home with the Osbournes.
The Black Sabbath icon had previously been married before Sharon and Ozzy said, “I do.” Before they tied the knot and welcomed two biological children, Jessica, 53, and Louis, 50, he met his first wife Thelma Riley in a Birmingham nightclub.
When Thelma met the lead singer, Elliot, age 5, from a previous relationship, she was already a mother. Elliot would later be adopted and raised by Ozzy.
The three children’s fond childhood memories of their daredevil father are unfavorable. When Ozzy is questioned about Louis and Jessica’s birthdays in a 2011 documentary, he forgets the day of each of their births.
In the same episode, Louis revealed details about growing up with Ozzy: “When he was around and he wasn’t [drunk], he was a great father. That was actually a little uncommon. I just recall him being drunk, random s**t, driving cars across fields, and stuff like that.
He acknowledged in the documentary that “it’s not good for family life, really.” I don’t recall being snorted or taken in a bath by his older sister, Jessica, or anything similar. Never on a sports day, school trip, or parents’ evening, I wouldn’t say he was there for us. No, he wasn’t like that.
Ozzy and Thelma divorced in 1982, and he married Sharon, his manager at the time.
Aimee and Kelly welcomed their second daughter Kelly on October 27, 1984, and their first child was born on September 2, 1983, one and a half months later. On November 8, 1985, they gave birth to their youngest child, Jack.
Whilst many fans know two of Sharon and Ozzy’s offspring – Jack and Kelly – Aimee chose to stay out of the spotlight when the former X Factor judge decided to allow MTV’s cameras into their home. Refusing to participate in filming, she left the family residence in the early 2000s to pursue her own musical career, performing under her initials ARO.
She questioned her decision to leave the Independent in a previous interview. She told the magazine, “I still felt like I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of my family life, so why on earth would I want that portrayed on television?” I also wanted to safeguard my siblings, my parents, and myself. They had a lot of impressions, but they were very young.
In a 2008 interview with the same publication, Aimee defended her decision: “I’m not some weirdo depressed daughter that’s afraid of the world and locks herself in her room all day. I just didn’t choose to do the show. I want to be a singer, and I felt if I’d stayed with the Osbournes and done the whole thing I would have been typecast right away.
Sharon and I certainly had difficult conversations over disagreements. My private life is very important to me because I’m more reserved. The two daughters of Sharon were actually separated from one another in 2021 when it became known. On the Dax Shepard podcast, Kelly discussed her relationship with Aimee and said, “We don’t talk. Simply put, we are very different. She and I have two disagreements.
Aimee and Jack’s younger brother Jack co-own Osbourne Media, which they both co-own, so it seems like they have a much stronger bond than the two sisters, despite the tension between them.
