Jack, Ozzy Osbourne’s son, cried as he compared the “perfect” situation that the Black Sabbath legend’s passing just weeks after his farewell concert caused him to cry.
Jack, Ozzy Osbourne’s son, broke down as he described the death of his father. Just weeks after giving his final Black Sabbath concert at his beloved Villa Park in his hometown of Birmingham, The Prince of Darkness passed away on July 22 at the age of 76.
While the Osbourne family have previously posted tributes to the late great musician, Jack, has now spoken in detail about the death of his father, including how he was informed of the heartbreaking news, while on the other side of the world. Following the Back to the Beginning concert, Jack stayed with his family in the UK for a week.
Just days before Ozzy tragically fell ill and experienced an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, he made the decision to go back to his Los Angeles home. Later, Ozzy’s death certificate revealed that his cause of death was ruled to be autonomic dysfunction, coronary artery disease, and Parkinson’s disease (joint causes).
Now, Jack has spoken out about the devastating news on his YouTube channel and says there was “almost a perfection” around the death of Ozzy. He said: “One thing that has kind of stuck with me about my father’s exit was how, you know, there is almost a perfection to it.
He had to bid him a profound farewell. He must show his gratitude to his supporters. He saw his former friends, whom he hadn’t seen in a while. He had to perform, after all, there was a ton accomplished before the end. And, you will know, there will be a lot of that when the time comes, we’ll talk about.
Um, in the end, it was overwhelming, and one of the most shocking, in my opinion, was how shocked I was by the love that flowed. It’s been beautiful, in my opinion. It’s been valid to witness that outpouring of love, as I previously stated. We saw it all, we read the letters, and people who sent cards and did the postage either laid flowers at the Birmingham Bridge or dropped them off at the house.
We are so grateful for that and, as I said earlier, it was validating because we know it’s been a difficult six weeks as a family, we’re navigating it alone and in our own ways.
“I believe it’s common, and the pain of grief that comes with loving someone so much is what we pay for their passing.” That’s fine with me. “Jack also made it known that a family member knocked on his door at around 3:45 am on July 22 – nine days after he arrived in Los Angeles.
Before explaining that the employee had informed him that Ozzy had passed away at home, he said, “I knew something bad had happened.” However, Jack realized that while he was having “so many thoughts,” his beloved father was no longer ill.
Due to Ozzy’s high spirits in the days leading up to his death, the family did not anticipate receiving the news. The Osbourne family announced in a statement on the day of Ozzy’s passing that “our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.
He was surrounded by love and his family. At this time, we ask that everyone respects our family’s privacy. Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis, among others.
