The Masked Singer is back, and one famous face will be revealed this weekend. This week, the likes of Red Panda, Yak, Gargoyle, Sloth, Moth and Arctic Fox will take to the stage to sing in their incredible costumes, in a bid to confuse the judges. Former cricketer Freddie Flintoff will be joining the panel as a guest judge this week, alongside regular judges Maya Jama, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross.
This week will also see a major shake-up on the show. It will be the first time Red Panda has performed on the series due to a last-minute edit during the first episode. Bosses made the decision to cut Red Panda from the pre-recorded episode following the tragedy in Switzerland on New Year’s Eve. The Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, caught alight at 1.30am on January 1 as patrons – mostly young adults – enjoyed festive celebrations. Witnesses said that before the fire broke out, they saw waiting staff arrive carrying bottles of champagne topped with sparkling flares.
Following the disaster, an ITV spokesperson told The Mirror: “In light of the tragic events in Switzerland, we took the decision to remove Red Panda’s performance on The Masked Singer in tonight’s programme owing to potential insensitivities within the theme and lyrics of the song. Viewers will get to see Red Panda perform in the coming weeks.”

“Moth has to be Keisha from the Sugababes #MaskedSingerUK,” said one user on X, formerly known as Twitter. A second went on to say: “Moth sounds like Keisha from the Sugababes…#maskedsingeruk.”
“Welcome Moth… A Sugababe if ever there was one,” said a third. Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Sounds like Keisha from Sugababes to me but not sure! #MaskedSingerUK.”
