ITV Coronation Street’s Ryan Prescott sues Lioness star’s boyfriend after online feud

Ryan Prescott of Coronation Street is suing Ella Toone’s boyfriend as their landlord.
Joe Bunney and his girlfriend, fellow actress Amy Lythgoe, were accused of squatting in a house he owned on June 12 last year when he posted an Instagram photo. Joe, 31, claimed that his grandad, 78, hoped to move into the property after Prescott and Lythgoe’s tenancy agreement had come to an end.
After the pair refused to leave the property, he later claimed that his grandad had been abandoned. Joe claimed at the time that he was on vacation and that the news, citing the recent widower designation, shocked him. Amy and Ryan, both 30, firmly refute the allegations.
Ryan and his girlfriend claim that Joe’s post has had a significant impact on them despite the fact that Joe abruptly removed it from his social media account. They have filed a lawsuit against Bunney in the High Court for £60, 000 in libel and defamation. They claim that they were distressed by the claims that they were “squatting, trespassing, and of causing hardship.”

According to The Sun, Bunney and the pair want to retract. Joe is reportedly not going to defend himself. As a landlord andamp, Joe said at the time, “I didn’t want to have to do this, but it’s embarrassing.” I’m away on holiday to find out that Ryan Prescott, a member of Coronation Street, has decided to squat in my home after their tenancy agreement has been terminated, and that he has refused to leave.
Let me provide some context: I have my 78-year-old grandfather who is ready to move into the home right away, but it took some convincing for him to do so after recently losing his wife. He finally agreed and left the pub he has owned for more than 40 years because we wanted him to be closer to our family. For our family, this is wonderful.
Only to discover that these two haven’t even considered packing and moving, leaving and moving, and intending to stay beyond the agreement and have had plenty of notice. Grandad was determined to make this move, leaving us with nowhere else to go. It’s disgusting. Tenants not leaving on day 1!!!! “
Joe hasn’t commented on the defamation case, but he did on Friday night reveal on social media that he was supporting his girlfriend Ella during the Liverpool vs. Manchester United Women’s Super League. He claimed on his Instagram that he was watching Ella and her Manchester United teammates battle the Reds at Anfield.
Ryan’s representatives and Joe have been contacted for comment by The Mirror.
