In southern Lebanon, two people were killed and seven others were hurt in Israeli attacks after Israel threatened to raise its assault on alleged Hezbollah targets.
One person and seven were killed and seven injured in an Israeli attack on the town of Doueir in Nabatieh province, according to the Lebanon’s Ministry of Health on Monday.

One person was killed in a subsequent bombing of the border town of Bint Jbeil, Aita al-Shaab.
Three missiles were fired at a car in Doueir, according to the Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), sparking a fire that spread to nearby cars and a shopping complex.
According to a report from the AFP news agency, emergency crews cleared debris and shattered glass from damaged shops while firefighters worked to put out the flames.
Mohammed Ali Hadid, allegedly a commander in a special unit under the leadership of Hezbollah, was killed by the Israeli army, according to the report.
Another Hezbollah member was killed in Aita al-Shaab, according to the Israeli army, while “trying to gather intelligence on Israeli troops.”
Israel launched its bombardments despite a ceasefire that was agreed in November of that year to put an end to more than a year of international hostilities. However, Israeli officials have made the promise to intensify military operations in recent days.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz blasted Lebanon’s president for “dragging his feet” over efforts to control Hezbollah on Sunday and warned that the organization was “playing with fire.”
Hezbollah has been under increasing international pressure to disarm, which has diminished as a result of the conflict’s continued violence. US envoy Tom Barrack claimed that Washington is “encouraging negotiations” and has urged Lebanon to press for direct talks with Israel.
Four people were killed by Israeli bombings in Nabatieh on Saturday, according to the Lebanoni Health Ministry.
Israel “reacted to peace overtures with intensified air raids,” according to President Joseph Aoun.
