Israel kills two Palestinian minors amid raids across occupied West Bank

In the latest deadly violence in the region that is continuing in tandem with Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, two Palestinian teenage boys have been killed by Israeli forces in the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank, according to the Wafa news agency.

According to the report, the Israeli army withheld the bodies of Muhammad Ali Asaad Assad al-Salah, 15, and Muhammad Khaled Alian Issa, 17, who were both killed at dawn. Two more children were also hurt in the gunfire, according to the report.

According to Wafa, Israeli forces carried out the deadly incident as Israeli forces raided the occupied West Bank, detaining at least 25 Palestinians.

Ten Palestinians have been detained in the towns of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, Idhna, west of Hebron, Dura al-Qari, north of Ramallah, one in the city of Ramallah, five in the village of al-Mazraa ash-Sharqiya, east of Ramallah, and four in Nablus, four of whom are also detained.

Making Palestinians’ lives impossible

Israeli violence in the occupied West Bank has gotten worse since the start of the conflict with Gaza, with frequently supported Israeli settlement attacks and reports of frequent mass arrests and killings. Palestinian civilians have been attacked and killed by settlers who have been executing them without trial, burning their homes and olive groves.

Since October 7, 2023, at least 948 Palestinians have been killed in the area by Israeli soldiers, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). At least 204 of those figures are children.

More than 2, 200 Israeli settlementr attacks were reported between the beginning of 2024 and the end of June 2025, resulting in more than 5, 200 Palestinian injuries, according to OCHA figures. Nearly 36, 000 Palestinians were forced to flee across the occupied West Bank during that time as a result of Israeli military operations, settler violence, or Israeli government demolitions.

According to Amjad Abu El Ezz, a lecturer of international relations at the Arab American University, the Israeli government’s plan to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state is being influenced by the Israeli government’s strategy.

According to Abu El Ezz, who spoke from Ramallah, the increased number of killings and the Israeli army’s coordinated destruction of Palestinian homes and vehicles are intended to persuade Palestinians to leave their land.

Israel “makes Palestinian lives impossible,” he said, while “building Israeli facts on the ground” to stop Palestinians from establishing their own state.

More than 700,000 Israeli settlers are the subject of our discussion. They have weapons, according to Abu El Ezz, and they operate alongside the Israeli army.

A symbolic resolution calling for the annexation of the occupied West Bank was approved by Israel’s parliament on Wednesday.

The motion, which calls for “applying Israeli sovereignty to Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley,” was approved by Knesset lawmakers on Wednesday, 71-13.

The motion, which was introduced by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition, is declarative and has no direct legal repercussions, but it might put the annexation issue on the parliament’s agenda in the coming weeks.

The non-binding vote by the Israeli parliament on the annexation of the occupied West Bank has been referred to as a “dangerous escalation” by the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement.

The organization claimed in a statement on Telegram that Israel had “clearly disregard for the international community” and that it was using its criminal plans to attack Palestine and its citizens.
