Ireland secure T20 series sweep against Zimbabwe

Ireland 180-4 (20 overs): Hunter 59, Stokell 45, Biza 2-21

Zimbabwe 129-7 (20 overs): Mugeri-Tiripano 39, Canning 2-18, MacMahon 2-21

By 51 runs, Ireland won.

With a 51-run victory at Sydney Parade in Dublin, Ireland Women won the series by 3-0 to take on Zimbabwe.

With 65 runs left in the series on Tuesday, the hosts won it in style and posted a 180-run top.

With Amy Hunter and Rebecca Stokell forming a strong partnership, Ireland decided to bat in the toss.

Player of the match was Stokell, who was run out on 45 while Hunter reached 59 before being bowled by Beloved Biza.

Orla Prendergast (24) and Laura Delany (19) finished the innings unbeaten, giving the visitors a target of 180.

With Kelis Ndlovu receiving nine and Chiedza Dhururu receiving her opening partnership of 12, both caught by Stokell after being bowled by Ava Canning and Sophie MacMahon, respectively, in a slow start.

The visitors were able to repel them with Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano (39) and Biza (25) but Prendergast caught both of them, with Canning taking her second wicket and Biza dismissing her.
