After a car struck Jennifer Aniston’s massive Bel Air mansion, police are looking into “spying” intentions and holding the intruder at gunpoint until they arrived, the intruder was detained at police custody.
Police sources have disclosed further information about the man who rammed his car through the gates that lead to ‘Friends’ superstar Jennifer Aniston’s expansive mansion in Los Angeles, California.
The 56-year-old star was at home on Monday afternoon when the vehicle breached the border to her property, which was purchased for $20 million in 2012.
Thankfully, the unknown assailant was quickly apprehended by Aniston’s security team, who rushed the vehicle and detained its male driver. He was held at gunpoint until police arrived.
Initial reports suggested that the intruder, who was initially thought to be in his 70s, might have accidentally struck the actress’s gates.

However, members of the LAPD Threat Management Unit have told TMZ that they are now investigating ‘bizarre’ social media posts, which could indicate a stalking motive behind the incident.
The source said they are “reviewing social media posts” made by the man before the crash, with “a Facebook page with several bizarre and rambling posts” being found under the intruder’s name.
LAPD sources also disclosed the name of the alleged intruder to the Mail. Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, who is 48 rather than the initially reported 70 years of age, has been booked on a felony vandalism charge for the damage caused to Jennifer Aniston’s property.
The Friends star is mentioned in a number of Facebook posts, one of which unfavorably refers to Aniston as his “bride.” Additionally, her full name appears on five of her posts.
The account with the same name as the intruder claims to be looking forward to “finally get to see” Aniston in one of the disturbing posts.
The post reads, “Christ Jimmy Wayne Carwyle &, Emanuel Jennifer Joanna Aniston Carwyle, TWO BEING ONE LIFE, ONE BEING, ONE FLESH, THROUGH LIFE FIXING TO FINALLY GET TO SEE YOU”!
However, it hasn’t been confirmed by the police whether this profile matches another Jimmy Wayne Carwyle or the man who was arrested following the incident.
Carwyle is being held without bail in the LA County Jail while LAPD officers investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
What specifics are there about the Jennifer Aniston home crash?
Around 12:20pm on Monday, a car broke into the gate leading to Jennifer Aniston’s Bel Air mansion, causing visible damage to and hanging off the gate.
Aniston’s security team quickly apprehended the intruder and quickly detained him until police and paramedics arrived. After the accident, the man was initially taken to a hospital where he had been treated by paramedics at the scene.
According to an LAPD spokesman, Officer Jeff Lee reported that the police rushed to Aniston’s home after receiving a call about a “burglary” and that the man “ran his car through the gate to the residence.”
Because the gate is a short walk from the expansive 8, 500 square foot leafy compound, Aniston did not confront the intruder during the distressing incident.
The car crash was the second time an intruder has attempted to gain access to the Friends star’s home. In 2015, just three years after she bought the mansion for $20 million, a vehicle smashed through the property’s border.
A security guard reportedly called the police right away after the incident, and the man claimed he wasn’t driving at the time when police arrived.
