In a sweet ceremony in Cumbria, Vanessa Feltz’s ex-fiancé, Ben Ofoedu, recently tied the knot with his new partner, Vanessa Brown, a “new beginning.”
Vanessa Feltz’s ex Ben Ofoedu recently tied the knot with his new partner after getting down on one knee to propose to her in New York City earlier this year. TV presenter Vanessa, 63, and the Phats and Small singer, 53, were together for 16 years and were ready for marriage before calling time on their relationship after he cheated on her.
His ex-wife, Vanessa Brown, couldn’t help but slam him because he is now married to Vanessa Brown. It comes after Ben appears to have made a dig of his own. He described his wedding as “a new beginning” and said, “I wasted 17 years of my life,” at a stunning Cumbria castle.
She told the other stars on her Channel 5 show, “And I’m sitting here single, single, and all alone.”

Ben and his new wife met last year while he was dating Precious, his previous partner. The couple first got together a few months after they met at an awards ceremony in April of that year.
The moment Ben kneed down on one knee to propose to Vanessa in Central Park in New York City in February was the happiest shock of her life, which Vanessa is an aesthetics expert who is more than 20 years his junior.
“Vanessa was completely taken aback. When Ben abruptly proposed, they were reminiscing about Elf as they were walking through the park, a source told The Sun at the time. “It was so heartfelt; there were cheery laughter, yess, and of course, immediate happiness”!
In a stunning ceremony at Rose Castle in Cumbria, the couple tied the knot six months later. The lavish ceremony, which cost $ 100,000, was captured in images shared online.
For the ceremony, Vanessa wore a strapless lace gown while Ben donned a cream suit and a black shirt. The likes of S Club 7’s Bradley McIntosh, Lee Brennan from 911, and Boyzone’s Keith Duffy were among the 72 guests. Shane Lynch was Ben’s closest confidant.
Rodney Williams, Ben’s former Phats & member and Small bandmate, also delivered a touching speech during the evening. The band’s song, Every Day I Love You, was chosen as the first dance partner for Ben and Vanessa.
When the drone show, which featured the couple’s love story, arrived, guests were treated to Jeal-Noel Geritage Champagne and watched in awe as they watched.
The couple’s wedding anniversary was never forgotten, according to their letter of recommendation, which read, “We met on April 19, 2024 at the Elite Awards in Carlisle. Ben just so happened to be performing [at the event] with Boyz on Block as a last-minute addition after Boyzlife, which included Boyzone’s Duffy and Westlife’s Brian McFadden, had to cancel. Ben and I might never have met on that stage if Brian and Keith hadn’t taken a step back.
We ended up talking after the show without any predetermined plans or pressure. Everything about that conversation changed from there on out of the blue. We’ve crammed a lifetime into a year since that night. Then, in February 2025, Ben proposed on a memorable trip to New York. It’s amazing and beautiful to think how everything started as we are now seated together on our wedding day.
After his big day, Ben told MailOnline, “I have wanted to be married since I was seven years old. I’ve always wanted to date people who would adopt my surname.
“I almost gave up on marriage, imagining no woman would propose to me.” The day has arrived, and it is a dream come true, I can’t believe it. I have a lifelong anticipation for this moment. The chapter that spanned my life’s 17 years comes to an end here.
