Legendary director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele’s mansion in Brentwood, California, was their dream home – before tragedy unfolded, and it turned into a nightmare

For 30 years, it was their dream home, but now it’s a crime scene. Lgendary Hollywood director Rob Reiner, 78, and his wife Michele Singer Reiner, 70, were tragically found dead in their Brentwood mansion on 14 December. According to reports, their throats had been slit in bed. The couple’s son, Nick Reiner, 32, has now been charged on suspicion of their murder.

Heartbreakingly, the couple’s daughter, Romy Reiner, 28, is said to have found her parents’ bodies after being alerted by a massage therapist who had visited the property for an appointment, only to find no one was answering the door.

The night before, the couple attended a glitzy A-list party at the home of TV host Conan O’Brien, along with Nick, before his behaviour allegedly made other guests uncomfortable and he was asked to leave. Nick is also claimed to have had a “tense chat” with comedian Bill Hader, while he was at the party. Rob and Michele were left “upset and embarrassed about their son’s behaviour at the party and expressed worries about his health,” sources who were in attendance claimed to NBC News.
