Brooklyn Beckham’s family feud has been the focus of this week’s headlines thanks to his explosive series of Instagram posts, but now there is renewed attention for Nicola and her extremely wealthy family.
The Beckham-Peltz feud has been dominating showbiz headlines this week, after Brooklyn Beckham unleashed an arsenal of social media posts levying claims against his parents Sir David and Lady Victoria in regards to his wedding and upbringing.
Whilst this may have brought some catharsis to 26-year-old Brooklyn, the eldest of the Beckham children, it has also brought the spotlight back onto the family of his 31-year-old wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham.
Although the Beckham family isn’t exactly short on money, with an estimated net worth of around £500m according to the Sunday Times’ 2025 Rich List, this is dwarfed by the Peltz family. According to Forbes, the net worth of Nicola’s father Nelson Peltz is around £1.2bn, over double that of Brooklyn’s family.
Nelson, 83, who built a business empire over the course of a decade, earned the billions himself.
After leaving the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and becoming a truck driver, he worked with his brother Robert to establish the multi-million dollar food delivery business in New York.
Before founding Trian, he later purchased a stake in a vending machine company called Triangle Industries and assisted in developing it into a Fortune 100 company.
Founded in 1997, Trian was a food and drinks business that invested in, grew, and bought brands that many of us see on the shelves of supermarkets including Heinz, Cadbury, Pepsi, and Schweppes.
Nelson’s third wife Claudia Heffner, who Nelson and his successful actress daughter Nicola, wed in 1985.
She has appeared in films like Lola and the Psycho prequel. According to Celebrity Net Worth, her own net worth is estimated to be around £37 million, which is higher than her husband’s estimated £7.4 million.
What this means in practice is that the Peltz family, much like the Beckham family, is incredibly wealthy. However, despite international events, the world has been captivated by the feud that has now come to the surface of life’s busy waters.
Brooklyn stated in a statement that was made public earlier this week that he had “overwhelming anxiety.” That anxiety has vanished for the first time in my life since I left my family.
I’m grateful for the life I chose, and I’ve found peace and relief in it every morning. We don’t want to live in a world where image, press, or manipulation are used. We only want our future families to have peace, privacy, and happiness.
Since then, Brooklyn has been spotted out and about with Nicola in Malibu and relationship experts have been commenting on what happens next for the Beckham clan with suggestions Brooklyn could face restrictions over who he partners with in the future.
This includes life coach and author Michelle Elman, who suggested Brooklyn deserved praise for his actions and urged people to understand his position despite the criticism he has received in the past for previous career choices, reports the Mirror.
She continued, “I don’t know a single person who has used this in the past, trying to set up new boundaries, creating healthier dynamics, and really wanting it to work out any other way.”
