Fans may be interested in knowing details about the hotel she stays in at the opulent Carden Park estate when she travels to Wales for games after Reynolds shocked fans in 2021 when he sold Wrexham FC to his friend Rob McElhenney.
Ryan Reynolds has made no secret of his love for Wales after teaming up with his actor friend Rob McElhenney to buy Wrexham FC in a surprising takeover of the non-league club in 2021. The Deadpool star has since gone on to describe owning the club as “the joy of my life”.
Since taking over the team, Ryan, 48, and Rob have since been overcome with shock as they have seen the team achieve two consecutive promotions. They even welcomed cameras into the field to record the team’s highs and lows for the popular Disney+ series Welcome to Wrexham. The Canadian star is said to unwind at the posh Carden Park hotel after a day of cheering on the crowds.
According to reports, Ryan and his Gossip Girl wife Blake Lively, 37, have purchased a £1.5 million home in Marford, which is located a short distance from Wrexham. However, it is believed that the couple and 48-year-old Rob will reside close to the training and playing fields at the Cheshire hotel.
The opulent four-star estate, which is ten miles from the Racecourse Ground, also has world-class sporting facilities that Wrexham’s players have used for themselves.

The estate was even used by Sweden’s national women’s team and UEFA during last year’s Women’s Euros, with the estate having a full-sized football pitch. There are also two championship golf courses, one of which was designed by 18-time major winner Jack Nicklaus and his son Steve.
On the 1, 000 acre estate, which also includes a lavish spa with a swimming pool, beauty salon, relaxation areas, sauna, and hot tubs, is home to a number of lavish restaurants and bars.
Carden Park also welcomed the likes of Mo Farah and DJ Jordan North as stars of 2020’s I’m A Celebrity recouped after their time in Wales.
Wrexham are only three games left this season, and Reynolds and McElhenney have already been able to claim one promotion following Wrexham’s women’s team’s victory over Genero Adran North to secure a spot in the Genero Adran Premier.
“ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. CONGRATULATIONS @WrexhamAFCWomen !!!!!!!” McElhenney tweeted after promotion was confirmed. “Wow. Wow. Wow. PROMOTION!!!!! So proud of this club!!!!!” added Reynolds on Instagram.
Last year, Ryan gushed about his love for Wrexham at a community event in Chicago hosted by former US president Barack Obama. The Deadpool star told the Obama Foundation 2024 Democracy Forum: “Sports, music and movies are all experiences that require us to check our bulls**t at the door.
“We all get to feel the same thing for a minute in a world that’s so tribal and we all get to root for the same thing. We take our hats off and whatever our tribal colours are, and we all get to feel something pretty special together.
“Wrexham has been and continues to be my life’s joy. I’ve learned a lot from it. Since taking over the team, the actor has grown more involved with the neighborhood.
In order to further their mission of improving the neighborhood, Ryan and Rob welcomed new minority investors to the club in October of last year. After selling their medical device manufacturing business, Welch Allyn Inc. for more than $2 billion (£1.5 billion), in 2015, the Allyn family from New York re-joined.
After participating in a number of initiatives that improved neighborhoods in New York, the family is known for its charitable investments. In contrast to Scranton and other towns in northern New York like Syracuse, where they once had boomtowns filled with coal and steel before experiencing hardship, said Ryan.
