Internet personality Rolling Ray has died at the age of 28, his heartbroken mother has announced. The influencer, real name Raymond Harper, passed away days before his birthday as his mum took to Facebook to pay tribute to him and thank friends and family for their support during the difficult time.
She wrote in a post shared with friends that she was sad to inform you that my son Ray Ray (@Iamrollingray) has left to go to the Lord. I appreciate everyone who has texted or called. It will take a long time to get here.” On social media, Rolling Ray referred to himself as the “most famous boy in a wheelchair.”
On Instagram, he had almost 450,000 followers and was known for producing skits and making music. He also appeared on MTV’s Catfish Trolls, and Bobby I Love You, Purrr.

Fans rushed to social media to share their shock and heartbreak over his death, with one user writing on X/Twitter: “They done took rollingray, I’m devastated,” while another wrote: “Today is not real, not my mf friend bruah….@DMVMOSTFAMOUS LIKE WHAT THE FUCK!!!!! IM FUCKING DONE FOR THE YEAR! Rest in heavenly peace.”

Ray’s ill health led to his hospitalization a few weeks prior to his shock death. The comedian’s candid and hilarious video, in which he discussed lifestyle, relationships, and pop culture, went viral on social media.
He became even more well-known for his wheelchair use during the Black Lives Matter protests in Washington, D.C.
