The Election Project Plan Committee (EPPC) was established by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to oversee the strategic framework for the conduct of the polls in the early stages of the election process in 2027.
During the week in Abuja, the committee held its inaugural meeting.
The committee, which is led by Prof. Rhoda H. Gumus, is charged with creating a detailed plan to ensure a smooth electoral process.
Its responsibilities include creating subcommittees, creating an Elections Project Plan (EPP) Template, and setting submission deadlines for planning documents.

Prof. Gumus stressed the value of early planning in enhancing Nigeria’s electoral process during his speech.
