As his team maintained the pressure on the Super League’s top two with their first victory at St. Helens since 1982, Prop Joe Ofahengaue scored both Leigh Leopards tries.

After two Gareth O’Brien penalties gave the Leopards a 4-0 lead at the break, the Leopards were given a second chance by Ofahengaue’s cross midway through the second half.

Leigh’s gritty defense was largely unbreakable, but Saints, who had won five straight games, had plenty of possession in the first half of the game.

After Kyle Feldt spilled Lachlan Lam’s kick, Ofahengaue capitalized to score a second try before it was too late for the Leopards to fall behind behind Wigan in second place.
