Ruben Amorim has argued that the Manchester United administration should permit him to carry out his duties without restraint.

After making another important point after the 1-1 draw at Leeds United on Friday, Amorim made an earlier hint about issues that were present in the back-room.

In the process, he repeatedly stated that he was ready to leave when his contract expires in 18 months, which indicated that senior United figures had made unnecessary intrusion into his duties that would not be tolerated elsewhere.

He suggested that three well-known former Premier League managers would not be subject to the interference he feels they have experienced by bringing up the names of three prominent former Premier League managers.

He said, “I just want to say that I came here to be the manager, not the coach.”
