The Duke of Sussex claimed in an explosive interview with the BBC that he “won’t speak to me because of this security stuff” and that he “does not know how long my father has been gone.”

Prince Harry intended to send a clear message to the royal family when he gave ‘another angry interview’ to the BBC following his latest legal loss, according to a consultant psychiatrist.

The Duke of Sussex has come under fire for remarks he made to the BBC concerning his loss of security in the UK, taking aim at his father the King, and going so far as to accuse the Court of Appeal and the Government of a ‘stitch-up’.

Dr. Raj Persaud, a doctor on Harley Street, has now expressed his thoughts on Harry’s decision to speak out, suggesting that Charles and other members of his tense family were trying to communicate with him.

“With other avenues of communication apparently cut off – he claimed the King will not take his calls – this was quite possibly a bid to garner attention on the public stage in a manner they simply cannot ignore, quite possibly a form of emotional blackmail,” he told the Express, suggesting that the underlying message is that Harry will continue to speak out and share his grievances until he is taken seriously by the family.

Despite the fact that this is a legal battle he has previously lost, he added that the emotionally charged Duke appears to be unable to move on. Dr. Persaud claims that Harry felt psychologically stuck as he repeatedly refrained from expressing his opinion because he was “astounded by the logic and morality of his position” even though he was correct.

Harry likely continues to be haunted by the tragic death of his mother, according to the psychiatrist, which is influencing his desire for security and having an impact on his decisions-making process.

He said, “Reacting to this most recent legal disappointment by throwing fresh grenades seems like a hasty, poorly-thought-out tactic, and one that will undoubtedly not help soften differences between the Duke and Palace.”

He appears to be having trouble, and I would suggest respectfully that he needs assistance to move forward and actually begin a family rapprochement. Unfortunately, despite another obscene media interview exposing his apparently trapped mindset, this is unlikely to occur.

Palace insiders, who claim Harry’s outburst will only exacerbate the family rift, agree with this sentiment. His statement about the King’s cancer, in which he claimed that he “does not know how long he has left,” was deemed to be particularly offensive.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, spoke with BBC News on May 2, shortly after a judge dismissed his legal challenge concerning his reduced security after stepping back as a working member of the royal family in 2020.

Prince Harry said in the new interview, “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore.”

“Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has,” he continued, referencing King Charles. “He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.”

Harry added that King Charles “could be resolved” for his security problems. He said, “My father has a lot of control and ability in his hands.” He might ultimately be able to resolve this entire situation. Not necessarily by intervening, but by stepping back and allowing the experts to do what is required.

The palace has consistently denied that Harry’s security is restored by the King. One source responded to the Sunday Telegraph, saying that it demonstrated that there is “nothing that can be trusted to remain private” and that “he has just demonstrated why, yet again.”

And another insider told ITV News: “For a son who claims to want a family reconciliation, it’s certainly a very curious way to build bridges or offer olive branches. His beloved grandmother would have been truly horrified. The King is a kind man with a warm heart and quite enough on his plate to deal with, without all this from his son.”
