I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! newcomer Aitch left fans ‘disappointed’ just months before he jetted off to the Australian jungle

Manchester-born rapper Aitch is gearing up to join the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle tomorrow, alongside a slew of other well-known faces.

The 25-year-old artist, whose real name is Harrison Armstrong, has already landed in Australia in preparation for the new series.

However, before jetting off to the land down under, the musician found himself in a bit of a pickle on social media.

During his stint on the 90s Baby Show podcast back in August, the Gen Z star divulged a private tale about his ex-girlfriend Lola Thompson, reports OK!.

The pair made their relationship public in January 2023, but called it quits 10 months later.

Aitch recounted a holiday in Bali where Australian influencer Lola had an unfortunate incident with ‘Bali belly’, leading to her soiling the bed.

As he put it, he was attempting to initiate a sexual act with his then-partner when he was hit by an unpleasant odour.

He went on to claim that her side of the bed was smeared with faeces. The story was shared as a joke but quickly cast a shadow over the rapper.

Although Aitch didn’t mention the woman by name, his fans were quick to deduce that it was Lola, given they had been seen together in Bali.

Just a few days after the story started making rounds on social media, Lola took to TikTok to share her version of events, alleging that Aitch had greatly exaggerated the incident.

“I feel like the way that he’s described it is completely inaccurate. And honestly I find it so vulgar and disgusting and so disrespectful the way that he’s speaking about me, that I’m not just going to not say anything,” she expressed.

Lola went on to explain her ordeal with ‘Bali belly’, which led to her vomiting and suffering from diarrhoea in the middle of the night.

She vehemently denied Aitch’s claims that they were about to get intimate when he discovered her soiled clothes.

She clarified: “I had done this in my sleep […] and it was a little bit in my pants, it didn’t go on the bed. It didn’t go on him. It didn’t go f****** everywhere like he said it did.

“It just was literally in my pants and he wasn’t being all like ‘Ew get away from me’ he literally was hugging me, telling me he loved me.”

The social media sensation revealed that Aitch actually took care of her during that time.

Lola added: “I was his partner for a bit. And then the fact that he’s going online and speaking about me in such a vulgar, disgusting way that’s not even accurate is just bizarre to me!”

The songwriter faced severe criticism for sharing such a personal story with millions of people, especially considering his ex is also a public figure.

One TikTok user expressed their disappointment: “Disappointed, I thought he was a nice guy.”

Another commented: “Well shame on him, imagine how she must feel when she’s gonna hear about this!”.

One viewer commented: “No longer an Aitch fan. This is sooo mean,” whilst another added: “Actually lost a bit of respect for Aitch in putting this out there like this.”

Yet others defended the rapper, pointing out he never identified Lola by name. They maintained he shouldn’t be blamed for internet detectives working out who she was.
