Celebrating a milestone of 250 Premier League victories is a special kind of accomplishment.

After Manchester City defeated Brentford 1-0, Pep Guardiola has access to an exclusive club of managers who have done the feat with a single club.

Only Sir Alex Ferguson (Manchester United) and Arsene Wenger (Arsenal) have previously done this, and Guardiola is already creating a list of all-fantastic guests to celebrate the occasion.

The Spaniard, who is in his 10th campaign with City, said: “It’s an honor to be along with Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger. I’ll invite them to a good dinner.

“It’s a pleasure to be a part of that in Premier League history,” he declared. Now let’s go for 250 more”.

With 349 top-flight matches to the landmark, Guardiola completed it in record time, winning 55 games more quickly than Ferguson (404), with Wenger (424), who followed.

David Moyes has won 250 games in the Premier League, a feat he’s notched up at once at multiple clubs.

Sensational’s record is impressive.

Guardiola has had to be kept out of discussions about the best managers in English football.

The 54-year-old has helped City win six Premier League titles, one Champions League title, two FA Cup victories, and four League Cup victories since joining the club in 2016.

However, the club has accomplished other notable accomplishments in the span of 250 victories under Guardiola.

City won 32 of their 38 games in the 2017-18 season, making them the first team to ever score 100 points in a row. They are also the only team to have won four Premier League titles in a row.

City averaged 28 wins per season during that dynamite run of success, with only Ferguson claiming 13 titles over Guardiola’s six.

Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards described him as “one of the greatest ever to do it.”

“Guillermo is talking about his wins, how he’s changed football, and the tiki-taka [style of play] more,” he said.

Many people predicted it wouldn’t work when he first arrived, and his first season was a little disappointing by his standards, but they’ve since taken the game to new heights.

The standards have remained the same throughout, despite the fact that he has had to bring in players and suffer injuries.

In four of Guardiola’s nine full seasons, City have accumulated more than 90 points in the Premier League, which is a remarkable achievement given that the mark had only ever been reached on five occasions prior to his arrival in England.

With wins of 65.2% and 62.9%, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss outperforms any other manager in the division’s history.

Guardiola’s side have scored 842 goals and conceded 299 in his 349 Premier League games.

Guardiola’s long-term future is uncertain, despite the fact that he agreed to stay at City until 2027.
