IGP Decorates Three Newly Promoted AIGs, 16 CPs In Abuja

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has decorated 19 Senior Police Officers with new ranks amidst cheers from families, friends, and well-wishers.

Decorating them at the Goodluck Jonathan International Peacekeeping Centre, Force Headquarters, Abuja, the beneficiaries include three Assistant Inspectors-General of Police and 16 Commissioners of Police.

The AIGs were AIG Garba Ahmed, AIG Nemi Edwin Osigoboka Iwo, and AIG Salman Garba Dogo.

One of the recipients receives a new rank decoration.

Similarly, the 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police promoted to the substantive rank of CPs include Cyriacus Enechukwu, Gombit Bangs, Rosemary Akpan, Ayodele Adeyemi, among others.

The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.

AIGs Salman Garba Dogo, AIG Nemi Edwin Osigoboka Iwo, and AIG Garba Ahmed have all been decorated.

” Additionally, sixteen Deputy Commissioners of Police were promoted to the substantive rank of Commissioners of Police, including CP Cyriacus Enechukwu, CP Gombit Bangs, CP Rosemary Akpan, and CP Ayodele Adeyemi, among others, “the statement noted.

The event was attended by a distinguished gathering of dignitaries, including Prince Ma Sani-Omolori, former Clerk to the National Assembly (Ciroma of Ebira Land), Mr Nebeolisa Anako, former Permanent Secretary of the Police Service Commission, and retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police Valentine Ntomchukwu.
