Ozzy Osbourne’s fans have been sharing heartfelt tales of their time with the now-deceased Black Sabbath star since his tragic passing at the age of 76 last month.

During his health issues, Ozzy Osbourne “terribly missed” his fans.

A fan of Ozzy Osbourne said he received a surprising package from the now late rockstar, after writing him a letter in his teens. While a student at a school in Millis, Massachusetts, Chad Hill and his felllow classmates were given an assignment to write a letter to a company, athlete, or celebrity using the school’s computer lab.

Chad tried his luck getting a response from his beloved Ozzy, who tragically passed away last month at the age of 76.

As part of the note, the now 46-year-old said he told the Black Sabbath star how much he “loved his music and how Randy Rhoads inspired [him] to play guitar”.

He responded to Newsweek, “And I requested an autograph.” At first, neither Chad nor his classmates got a response to their letters, until a surprise package showed up on his doorstep two years later.

Ozzy had returned a signed 8×10 photo of himself and a typed letter thanking Chad for his support. He claimed it “adds magic, wonder, and excitement” to his childhood and shared that he was “absolutely shocked.”

It’s the only piece of “art” that has ever resided on my wall, according to the artist. He continued, “It typically hangs close to my guitars.”

It “reminds me that acts of kindness have real power and that music also have.”

He continued, “I mean that it costs money, takes time, and effort to go through what must have been thousands upon thousands of letters and actually read them. That was very important to me.

Chad shared his story on the platform Reddit following Ozzy’s death, and admits replies to the post had been “emotional” to read.
