I See Everything Turning Around For You In 2027, Akpabio Tells Tinubu

Senator Godswill Akpabio, the president of the Senate, assured Bola Tinubu that his re-election in the 2023 election would be seamless, unlike the election campaign he faced to fill the seat.

At the All Progressives Congress (APC) national summit held in Abuja’s Banquet Hall while leading the National Assembly’s leadership in passing a vote of confidence in Tinubu.

Isn’t it not us (the National Assembly) who will declare this president’s performance if he has done well? Isn’t it us who will notify him of his impeachment if he hasn’t done well? We are not giving him notice of his impeachment, but we are, Akpabio said, “We are not giving him notice that it was difficult for you in 2023,” as well as the number of states that are joining you in 2027.”

One senator was dragging my dress today as I was leaving. I told him, “Please take me there,” and I said, “You can’t come now.” Although he is a Labour senator, I don’t want to mention his name.

Tinubu, who is only seven days away from his two-year term in office, faces significant opposition from former vice president Peter Obi and Peoples Democratic Party vice president Atiku Abubakar in the political process.

He won the most votes out of 12 of Nigeria’s 36 states, and he also won significant numbers in several other states, including 8, 794, 726, nearly two million more than Atiku, who received 6, 984, and 520 votes.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, finished the election with 6, 101, and 533 in a manner that some have described as unprecedented.

The Progressives Governors’ Forum gave President Bola Tinubu a vote of confidence earlier at the APC national summit, with the party leadership taking the action.

At the party’s national summit held in Abuja’s Banquet Hall under the All Progressives Congress (APC) banner, the governors who were elected in their place will be able to vote on their resolution.
