Psquare, the now-defunct musical duo, has announced that Peter Okoye, one-half of their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, now earns more as a solo artist than he did during his time with the group.

In response to a statement made by Jude on Friday, Peter, aka Mr. P, made the remarks in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday.

I now make more money as a solo artist than I did when I split up with Psquare, plus the alleged manager.

I’m referring to both shows and endorsements. What’s the point of sharing with people who have defrauded, betrayed, and continue to discriminate against you? Peter wrote.

Peter added that the move gave him “peace of mind” and that his solo career was “more rewarding and profitable, both financially and personally.”

He said, “I have stopped being nice and being mature while getting disrespected.”

He claimed that Jude’s arrest and detention resulted from his accusations that he had been vilified by EFCC officials.

In his Monday post, Peter reaffirmed that the family had not yet responded to the most pressing inquiry.

Despite being in court, he said, “We are in! Una refuses to respond to the question, “Una thief abi una no thief?”

Jude Okoye’s Instagram statement on Friday, in which Peter, singer Cynthia Morgan, and others formerly under his management were accused of betrayal and ingratitude, was directly addressed by Peter in his post.

When I was shouldering them with my platform, they were powerful, powerful, and successful until they became hungry, abandoned, and left. They abandoned the wagon and went into debt, and now, according to Jude, they are pointing fingers at the same person they left, “Jude wrote.

The music producer accused his accusers of fabricating allegations that led to his imprisonment, challenging them, and alleging that they were paying for his detention.

They are unable to specifically address the crimes committed against them, the circumstances, or the location. They made up lies, tied money laundering and fraud to my name, and they surprised me by locking me up for two months, according to the Psquare ex-manager.

The singer Cynthia Morgan, a former Northside signee, claimed in early June that Peter Okoye once distanced himself from her struggles, making up for the renewed conflict.

She claimed that when he explained to her that his online support at the time was not personal and only matched his hatred for Jude, she was hurt.

Legal Tussle

This most recent exchange comes as a result of Jude’s ongoing legal battle with the EFCC, which he was charged with with money laundering in February of that year.

According to court documents, Jude and his business, Northside Music Ltd, allegedly dishonestly paid over $1 million in royalties from businesses that are alleged to have paid Psquare’s music catalog, including Kobalt Music, Kobalt Music, and Mtech Limited.

According to one of the allegations, Jude used the funds to purchase an expensive property in Lagos’ Ikoyi neighborhood for about $850 million.

Another count alleges that Jude distributed the funds between various bank accounts to conceal the source of more than $1 million through a Bureau De Change.

He entered a not-guilty plea and denied all of the allegations.

In August of that year, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) confirmed that Psquare had broken up permanently. The family’s internal dispute resurfaced in August of that year.
