Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, has stated that he won’t talk about his future plans until after the World Cup in 2014.

On Saturday, the 31-year-old will make his 300th appearance for United as the club attempts to end a string of home defeats suffered by Brighton in the past.

Fernandes has missed just 17 games since leaving Sporting for £47 million in January 2020, and only three of those were due to injury or illness, making this achievement even more impressive.

The Portuguese turned down Al-Hilal’s outrageous summer offer, and the Saudi Pro League and Europe followed with no interest in anything more.

Fernandes is aware of the rumors swirling in his future.

According to sources close to him, he won’t move to Saudi Arabia in the summer, even though major European clubs outside the Premier League are showing more interest.

According to what it is understood, Fernandes’ contract, which expires in 2027 and has the option to extend it for a further year, has a clause that would allow him to join a club outside of England for £56.6 million (€65 million), if it is signed soon enough.

Fernandes isn’t interested in talking about it at the moment, though.

“I feel good here, as I’ve always said. He continued, “I still want to realize my dreams.”

“I’m not able to speak for the club.” I’ve heard a lot of people saying I’m ready to leave the following season. It wasn’t made with me if the club had reached that agreement. Nobody I know has spoken to me.

My agent is also aware of my methods of operation. After the World Cup, he will want to talk to me. I won’t speak to anyone until then.

When Al-Hilal’s interest for the first time became public during United’s post-season visit to Asia, Fernandes spoke to a lot of people.

Independently, meetings with Portugal team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, technical director Jason Wilcox, head coach Ruben Amorim, chief executive Omar Berrada, technical director Jason Wilcox, and his family took place.

Everyone agreed that the money being discussed, even for one of the Premier League’s highest earners, was hysterical. A club record sale would have resulted in the fee being anticipated to be more than £100 million.

However, Fernandes was not being pushed out. Amorim actually said the exact opposite.

He said to me, “No, we want more players to help you become a better team.” We still risk losing something if we bring some people over and lose you, Hernandez said of his manager.

Ana was his wife’s blunt.

“My family feels very well here,” Hernandez said. My kids enjoy attending school. Even with the weather, they adore the way they live here.

“Everyone is settled,” the saying goes. We frequently say that the house we have in Portugal sometimes feels more like home.

She said, “Are you successful at the club in the first place?” She is aware that I am not.

Putting the team first

Fernandes was out on the Carrington training pitches in the pouring rain less than 24 hours after United won their first game against Liverpool at Anfield since 2016.

He wanted to go out to watch his team-mates go through their own punishing session after finishing his own gym session.

When those closest to him claim that Fernandes is “body and soul,” they mean it.

He takes his role seriously by supporting his coworkers, just as his primary motivation is not to give others praise.

He said, “I want people to think good things about me, obviously.” If I said otherwise, I would be lying.

However, I want the team’s accomplishments. That is absent from my time at United.

“I haven’t been able to achieve the success I envisioned when I signed,” the club said.

“I’ll be in a place, but not in the one I want to be,” I said.

Kobbie “makes me a better player,” he says.

In recent years, big-money signings like Antony, Andre Onana, and Jadon Sancho have been heavily criticized for their recruitment strategies after failing to make a significant impact.

Fernandes believes that being a United player by itself is insufficient.

He said, “We need to sign big characters at this club.” Due to the pressure and attention we receive, being a good player occasionally is insufficient.

We hired players who are aware of the club’s dimensions this summer.

“Give me the ball, I want to play, I want to make things,” says Matthew Cunha in all its arrogance.

We want this Cunha on the inside, “on the inside.” We want him to take risks, shoot, engage in confrontation, and create. The same as Bryan [Mbeumo].

Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo, a native of England, square off against one another for a spot in the United States, incontrovertibly.

The older man doesn’t think in such a linear manner.

You must be able to run in modern football, he said. “When I first started, I had top-notch players who could run 6-7 kilometers per game. If you run less than 9 to 10 kilometers today, you’re really down on the numbers.

In my position, I want to have the best possible opponent. Kobbie is very capable of achieving what I can in a completely different way, so I don’t think he’s a rival.

You might think that Bruno and Kobbie are more effective at scoring goals based on their respective skills. Despite our differences as players, we can still contribute a lot to the team.
