Just four weeks after Sam Hutchinson suffered a heart attack during a League Two game, AFC Wimbledon are in talks with the defender about a contract extension.
Following the health scare that occurred in the sixth minute of Chelsea’s and Sheffield’s final regular-season game against Grimsby, the 35-year-old underwent surgery.
Amazingly, Hutchinson finished the contest at its conclusion and scored the winning goal.
After defeating Walsall 1-0 at Wembley to advance to League One, the Dons then defeated Notts County at home and away in the play-off semi-finals.
Hutchinson signed for Wimbledon from Reading in December, making 18 appearances.
At Plough Lane, defensive players Ryan Johnson, Josh Neufville, and James Tilley have all received new deals, and Isaac Ogundere’s contract extension option has been given an extension.
After a stellar season, Goodman makes his comeback to Palace.

Owen Goodman, who has been on a season-long loan with the Dons, has returned to Crystal Palace.
The club’s 21-year-old kept 24 clean sheets in 54 appearances across all competitions.
In each of his final four appearances, all with 1-0 victories, he kept a clean sheet, which was the play-off final victory at Wembley.
Alistair Smith, Joe Piggot, and James Furlong have all reconnected with their parents’ organizations.
The impact our loan players have had on the Dons’ website has been incredible, director of football Craig Cope said.
James Furlong made an immediate impact at the start of the season, collecting points early on and delivering some strong performances later.
“Cheltenham and Barrow legend Joe Pigott returns with some crucial goals.”
“Finally landing long-term target Alistair, who ended up being so reliable, missing one game the entire season, and scoring some crucial goals.
