Hulk Hogan passed away on Tuesday at a private funeral, and his daughter Brooke has now explained the heartfelt rationale behind her abstention.
Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke has shared the touching reason why she chose not to attend her father’s funeral. The late wrestling icon was laid to rest at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida on Tuesday.
Despite being a private service, a number of celebrities were spotted at Hulk’s final goodbye, including Triple H and his wife Stephanie McMahon attended, singer Kid Rock and comedian Theo Von.
Linda Hogan, Hulk’s wife from 1983 to 2009 and Brooke’s mother, was the only member of the late sport star’s family spotted going in or out of the service.

Brooke, who had a feud with her father in the later years of his life, instead decided to honour her dad in her own way. The mum-of-two, who become a mother in January when she welcomed twins with ex-NHL player Steven Oleksy, shared details of her tribute on Instagram.
Brooke wrote in a photo of herself and the twins on a beach that she had taken: “My father detested the morbidity of funerals. He refused to have one. And although I am aware that people grieve in many ways, and I’m so grateful for all celebrations and occasions held to honor him as his daughter, I had to choose to honor him in the most authentic and personal way possible, the way that made me feel the closest to him.
He was only in a pop-up lawn chair watching the waves and the sunset today. We treated you with the utmost care that was in tune with my soul, Daddy. Our children were taken to the beach and immersed in the same salty waters as you.
“Molly adored the water.” She’ll be a “little fish,” as you’ve called her, in my opinion. We respect your contributions to what made you so special. We bonded because every wave and grain of sand brought us closer to each other. I sincerely wish you peace and love. Daddy, please go to heaven.
Former WWE star Hulk was found “experiencing a serious medical-related issue” in a house on Eldorado Avenue, Clearwater, Florida and he was taken to Morton Plant Hospital, after Clearwater police department said officers and fire crews responded to a “medical-related call” shortly before 10am on Thursday 24 July.
Major Nate Burnside stated that there are “no signs of foul play or suspicious activity” and that he passed away at 11.17 am in a hospital. In addition to honoring Hulk as his passing was made public, WWE star John Cena shared a photo of him with Andre The Giant on Instagram.
His death was confirmed by the WWE, who posted a statement on Twitter/X saying: “WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away.
Hogan, one of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, helped the 1980s see the rise of WWE as a global force. Hogan’s family, friends, and fans are in mourning, according to WWE.
