Tim Burton, the director of the movie, and Monica Bellucci, the model, announced the split in a joint statement.
The two women’s alleged dates date back to October 2022, but dating rumors surfaced before they could confirm their relationship the following year, in October 2023.

The director and model are alleged to have first met in 2006 at the Cannes Film Festival, but nothing romantically sexy happened between them until their long-term relationships ended when they reconnected in 2022 at the Lumière Film Festival in Lyon, where the model presented Tim with a lifetime achievement award.
Tim, 67, and model Monica, 60, both worked on their first film together, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which came out last year. Tim regularly uses romantic partners in his films as actors. Delores, the ex-wife of Michael Beetlejuice, was played by Monica, who didn’t appear in the original Beetlejuice film 35 years ago.

Prior to her relationship with Tim, Monica had a previous relationship with Nicolas Lefebvre, but they ended their relationship in 2019. Between 1997 and 2013, she married French actor Vincent Cassel. The former couple first met on the set of Gilles Mimouni’s film L’Appartement in 1996.
Deva, who was born in 2004, and Leonie, who was born in 2010, are the daughters of Monica and Vinent.
In addition, Tim had a famous marriage to Helena Bonham Carter, who he co-starred in several films, including Planet of the Apes, Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
The couple had been married for 13 years, but they separated in 2014.
Billy, 20, and Nell, 16, are the children of Tim and Helena.
