Former Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley goalkeeper Lee Grant has been appointed as their new manager by Huddersfield Town on a three-year contract.

The 42-year-old had worked as an Ipswich Town coach for the previous three seasons.

Grant assumes his first managerial position.

After losing their final six games to caretaker Jon Worthington, Grant takes over a Huddersfield side that finished 10th this season.

After Michael Duff’s dismissal at the start of March, after ten months, the team’s head coach was appointed.

Since losing to Nottingham Forest in the Championship play-off final in May 2022, Grant is the club’s seventh different manager.

He stated on the club website, “It’s an incredible honor to be the manager of Huddersfield Town.”

I couldn’t be more inspired to play my part in that journey because this is such an exciting time for me to be joining the club and there is so much potential and opportunity ahead.
