Gaza is hit hard by winter, as aid workers and activists work to divert attention away from the world.

The winter in Gaza is a crisis as well as a season. More than one million Palestinians need emergency housing because they are displaced. As a result of heavy rain and icy conditions, many people live in temporary tents. Families are increasingly at risk of hypothermia and disease in a situation that is already catastrophic because aid and construction materials are frequently blocked or delayed at the border.
