Alison Hammond has opened up on her huge 13 stone weight loss, as she says she has ‘absolutely not’ used weight loss jabs, but wouldn’t rule them out in the future
This Morning TV presenter Alison Hammond has opened up on her huge 13 stone weight loss, as she revealed that she has ‘absolutely not’ used weight loss drugs to assist her. The Great British Bake Off star has been asked many questions about if she’s used any weight loss jabs during her journey.
Alison, 50, recently opened up and said she was ‘worried’ about how much the jabs get brought up and that the conversation is ‘thrown’ at her whenever she has a conversation in public.
Alison said: “It worries me that the jab keeps getting brought up. Every single time I have a conversation in public, that is the question thrown at me.”

After being asked if she had used any of the weight loss drugs, the TV star said: “‘Absolutely not. I’m not a follower of what people do. I do what I need to do for me.”
Alison reached 30 stone when she was at her heaviest, but after the weight loss, she now weighs around 16 and a half stone. While she denied any use of the drugs so far, she explained how she wouldn’t close the door on that option in the future.
Alison added to the Daily Mail.: “I don’t like the fact that you have to say, ‘Oh, no, I wouldn’t have the jab ever’. Maybe next year. Do you know what? I might start jabbing up. What does it matter how people lose weight? Would you rather have me die from being obese?”
Alsion reportedly made the change to her lifestyle and started to lose weight after the death of her mother, Maria, in 2020, who had been worried about Alison’s diagnosis of prediabetes.
Just last month, Alison opened up on her impressive weight loss and explained how she managed the feat without dieting and simply chose to focus on “moderation” when it comes to food.
She opted to work with a personal trainer following the diagnosis, as she told Heat: “I’ve got a personal trainer – she’s amazing, she trains me when I can train. If I’m working, I don’t train, I’ll go for a walk. But when I’m at home, I’ll go and have a session with her in the morning, just an hour. It might be four days a week.”
She also said she chose to focus on “moderation” when it comes to food rather than cutting things out entirely. “I don’t deny myself anything, I eat everything, but in moderation,” she went on.
It follows after it was also revealed that Alison’s relationship with her 28-year-old boyfriend David Putman has her feeling “on top of the world.”
A source told The Mirror last month: “Alison is literally on top of the world at the moment – she just could not be happier. She’s been grinning from ear to ear recently and David is a huge reason for that.”
