After leaving the Channel 4 soap, the 41-year-old former Hollyoaks star has updated fans.

Hollyoaks star Nikki Sanderson has updated fans following her soap exit after 13 years.

The actress, 41, debuted her character Maxine Minniver on the Channel 4 show back in 2012 and featured in some major storylines, including domestic violence and miscarrying a baby.

Maxine and her daughter Minnie planned to run away from the village in a taxi in April 2025.

Following her soap exit, Nikki has shared a stunning selfie alongside her former Emmerdale star boyfriend Anthony Quinlan, who played Peter Barton on the ITV soap.

Taking to Instagram, the pair, who have been dating since 2022, posed for a photo and shared their ‘happiness’ as they enjoyed a holiday together in Majorca, Spain.

Another happy holiday had, Nikki wrote in the caption. a quick getaway to the place we adore the most.

One person wrote, “Awww you both look really well and happy,” while others flooded the comments section with well-wishes for the couple.

A second phrased, “Lovely picture. I hope you are enjoying yourself. You appear stunning. You make such a lovely couple, gushed a third person.

Nikki revealed in March that she had quit Hollyoaks after starring as Maxine Minniver for 13 years.

The actress described the decision to leave in April as “incredibly difficult” before filming her final scenes.

She explained that choosing to leave was a very difficult decision for me because Maxine has been a significant, significant part of my life and has always been my favorite.

It’s challenging to think that “It’s time,” and it wasn’t an instant or overnight decision. I had to wait a long time to make it, and I was genuinely angry with myself.

Nikki continued, “I’m grateful that I’ve had this stability for so long; now I have to accept the uncertainty of not knowing what will happen next.”

She also confirmed that she is not done with the soap world and would jump to Coronation Street if given the chance.
