TV star Holly Willoughby has candidly discussed the realities of ageing, even revealing that she’s made a “decision” about cosmetic surgery.

The former This Morning host said she has noticed changes in her complexion, as she shared in her memoir, Reflections: “I’m in my forties now and I can see the changes in my face”.

Holly noted: “I know that my skin needs a lot more love, particularly hydration. I definitely notice it if I’ve been drinking heavily or having a late night out. My face will just eat my make-up – it doesn’t sit as well on my skin”.

To combat signs of ageing, the 44-year-old schedules monthly facials to help “cells to produce collagen”.

The well-known presenter admitted that “I probably will indulge in a few things” when asked about potential future cosmetic procedures. She explained: “I’m reserving the right to decide how I feel about all that when I get there. What I do know for sure is that any choice should come from a positive place where I feel like I need to be “fixed” in some way, rather than a negative one.

Holly, who first graced our screens in the early 2000s with various children’s TV roles across the BBC, has had an impressive broadcasting career.

However, Holly’s popularity as a children’s host quickly propelled her to fame when she joined Phillip Schofield to co-host Dancing On Ice in 2006. Following several other presenting gigs, she teamed up with Schofield again in 2009 to co-host ITV’s This Morning.

Holly has been spotted hosting one of Netflix’s newest shows, Celebrity Bear Hunt, in one of her first television roles since leaving This Morning in October 2023. Bear Grylls follows Bear to find famous people in the Costa Rican jungle.

Holly said, “It’s so nice to be doing something new and exciting and being on a proper adventure,” when addressing the Graham Norton show about her involvement in the new series.

In her new Netflix series, she also discussed the difficulties of working with the fearsome Bear, saying, “Working with Bear Grylls has taken me completely out of my comfort zone.”

She continued, “The magic of Bear is that he is really convincing and inspirational and even got me to do things,” and that I am the scariest person ever.
