Both of them have spoken out about their previous drinking issues, but that didn’t stop the newlyweds from soaring over the alcohol at their recent nuptials.
Both have previously opened up about their sobriety journeys, admitting alcohol left them at “rock bottom” before meeting each other. But it didn’t stop Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty splashing out at their winter wedding £190 bottles of tequila for guests at their winter wedding.
Newlyweds Holly and Adam have been candid about their own journeys with alcohol – influencer Holly, 26, marking two years of being teetotal in 2022, after deciding to give t up altogether after her party lifestyle saw her hit ‘rock bottom’. And her husband, Olympic swimmer Adam, 31, has spoken before about how Holly ‘saved’ him during his own struggles with alcoholism and depression.

However, as snaps of their special day revealed, the pair gifted guests a handcrafted £190 bottle of Don Julio Tequila 1942 – with each bottle engraved on the front with: H&A 27.12.25. There was a healthy cocktail menu too, as the pair served up martinis and spicy margaritas on their ‘Ramsay Peaty’s Bar’ menu on their big day.
Their personalised tequila also has a link to one of their guests, family friend Victoria Beckham, who herself promotes the brand – thought to be her favourite ever drink. Not only has the designer promoted it at Paris Fashion Week, but she’s been seen downing shots of the Mexican speciality at more than one showbiz party.
It’s obvious that Adam is a serial entrepreneur because he gave his future wife a $600 bottle of Don Julio with the slogan “Future Mrs Peaty” months before getting married. At the most popular wedding of last year, guests were reportedly given a celebratory T-shirt as a souvenir of the day along with the pricey bottle of tequila.
According to a source who was quoted in the Sun, Holly and Adam lavished each of their guests with a bottle of tequila with their own initials.
Additionally, a sweet T-shirt featuring the couple as they begin their life together, along with a cute car, was presented to the couple. The wedding date was printed on the T-shirt, which made a wonderful souvenir for everyone.
The bride and groom “truly pushed the boat out,” the couple said. They wanted the wedding to be flawless, despite the turbulence that exists behind the scenes. And it was.
It appears to have been a lavish wedding in every way. Famous TV chef Holly’s father, who is rumored to be worth some £176 million, is thought to have spent an incredible £50,000 on flowers on himself.
Both Holly and Adam have been very open about deciding to quit the booze, before meeting each other. After struggles with her mental health, Holly was once admitted for three months into Nightingale Hospital in Marylebone, London, she revealed in 2021.
I didn’t tell anyone until a year later, I said. In my mind, I just buried it in a box. On her podcast 21 &, Over, she explained that [in hospital] is where I was diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
I’ve been in therapy three times a week since then,” she said. These diagnoses are now something I carry around with me. I’m trying to take control of my narrative and use that to create something new because it’s confusing.
In an Instagram post marking two years alcohol free in 2022, Holly revealed, ‘Today marks two years since I last had alcohol. Two years ago today I hit rock bottom, I was terrified. ‘I certainly didn’t think I would be where I am today both physically and mentally. I’ve fought every day since to get where I am today.’
She continued, “I am so appreciative of the support, encouragement, and unending love that so many people have shown me.” Every day, I’ll continue to learn and develop. I’m fortunate to be able to raise awareness and end the stigma surrounding mental illness. Love is always available to anyone who may need it right now. a day at a time.
Adam, who also revealed he suffered ‘three years of hell’ with his mental health and took a break in 2023 from competitive swimming, after confessing in 2020 that he turned to the bottle after the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
He once said, “I kind of, sort of, but I didn’t really have that overwhelming motivation to perform at something.” Since I perform, I completely lose my track if I don’t have anything to perform at. Add that to all the partying and other activities, and it wasn’t very enjoyable.
It took me a while to realize what was and wasn’t important to me. Thankfully, I now know that. I am aware of both my body and mind, and I don’t try to make you drink the most alcohol.
But it seems the pair’s relationship, which began after they met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021 when Adam, and Holly’s younger sister Tilly, were both competing – seems to have been a positive influence on them both.
