After replacing Youri Tielemans in the Europa League victory over Fenerbahce, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery calmed a heated touchline incident with the midfielder.

In the 92nd minute, Villa held on to a 1-0 lead in Istanbul thanks to Tielemans’ replacement.

He jogged to the touchline and reached out to Emery’s hand, but Tielemans jumped up and pushed him in the chest.

He is my son, Emery said to TNT Sports while he was smiling.

Former Villa defender Joleon Lescott commented on TNT Sports, “It might be innocent, but I don’t like that.”

“Regardless of what it was for, there would be uproar and doubts about the player’s mentality and professionalism if it turned out the other way around and the player refused to shake his manager’s hand.

Although I’m sure it’s more innocent than it appears, I don’t like the way it looks.
