Aimee Osbourne, the eldest daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, revealed her true thoughts on pursuing a career in music after breaking her silence from her family’s notoriety.

At first, Aimee Osbourne felt uncomfortable about becoming a singer.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s rarely seen daughter Aimee Osbourne once opened up about the heartfelt reason she chose to keep her career hidden. Being born to famous parents, the 41-year-old admitted she feared being seen as a “nepo baby”, a term used to describe someone who gains success or opportunities through familial connections.

Unlike her younger siblings Jack and Kelly Osbourne, Aimee decided not to take part in the family’s popular MTV reality show, The Osbournes, as well as other projects such as their family podcast.

Instead, the singer chose to start her own business. Aimee recalled her early musical training, saying she was initially “shy” about singing until one of her mother’s friends introduced her to songwriters.

She continued, “I grew up listening to a lot of music, and I suppose having that kind of creative environment just kind of came naturally to me.”

And then I started writing music and singing, but I was shy and almost embarrassed because I didn’t want the whole nepotistic thing to happen, so I kept it a secret.

Previously speaking in an interview on the Greatest Music of All Time YouTube Channel, she went on to recall the moment that changed her perspective.

I think my mother’s friend overheard me singing, and she said, “Well, would you like to come and stay with me? ” And I know that these musicians’ music is very similar to yours, so I urge you to watch what transpires.

Aimee acknowledged that she initially felt very shy and hesitant about it and that she was “very hesitant and secretive about it.”

She continued, “The trip then went really well, and I kind of surprised myself, and then it kind of went from there.”

She later made the decision to pursue a career in music under the name ARO (her birth name).

Aimee also voiced the 2003 film Wuthering Heights for MTV, and she also did it voiceover for Postman Pat: The Movie in 2014.

Sharon’s eldest daughter chose to stay out of the spotlight in 2018, sharing her thoughts.

She said, “She felt too that she didn’t want to grow up on camera, and she left when she was 16; I regret that. “

Aimee appeared to have a close relationship with her parents, but not so much with her siblings, despite maintaining her professional distance.

We don’t talk, Kelly said on Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert in 2021. Simply put, we are very different. She and I don’t get along.

The family put their differences at ease earlier this week during Ozzy’s Birmingham funeral.

In front of a crowd of fans paying their respects, the three siblings struggled to hold back tears as they supported their departed mother Sharon.

One of Ozzy’s other three children, Louis, who reportedly lived next to them, is thought to be one of his three children from his first union to Thelma Riley.
