Katie Price has candidly detailed the tough week she’s had with son Harvey as he went back to his temporary home in Littlehampton while the family wait for his new accommodation
Katie Price has opened up about her ‘ tough ‘ week with son Harvey as he found it difficult returning to his temporary accommodation.
The 47 year old’s son Harvey, 23, is set to move down the road from his mum’s house – but is currently staying at temporary accommodation in Littlehampton while they wait for the new housing to be ready. Harvey has a string of complex health issues including Prader-Willi Syndrome, septo-optic dysplasia, autism, ADHD, and cortisol deficiency. And after staying with Katie recently, the mum revealed he found the transition unsettling.
Speaking on the latest episode of her podcast, Katie explained: “I’ve had Harvey as well the past two weeks and he’s not been good. He didn’t want to go, crying, it reminded me of when he was younger so he threw my bedroom furniture about. You know my tropical lights with the big bulbs – I’ve got two – smashed that.
” And then when he got to… oh completely smashed his iPad like it’s not even fixable. Then, they weren’t even gonna take him in the car to take him to the train station because he was that bad. Then all week I’ve had messages from where he is. They’ve got massive big windows in his room and they’ve made them – not bullet-proof but Harvey-proof – he’s popped two of them out, broke another iPad that he got. All because, I said, ‘ What’s caused it ‘ and they said, ‘ Because he wants you’. He just loves being at home with me. “
Katie then revealed they’re looking at Harvey’s new place” next week “as she added:” And he just goes ‘ Little Hampton and Mummy ‘ he hates it there he just wants to see me every day and stuff. So it’s been a tough week with Harvey. “
At the beginning of the year, Katie shared plans to help Harvey lose weight after his move closer to her home. Harvey struggles with his weight due to Prader-Willi syndrome, which causes uncontrollable hunger and a lack of fullness, and can lead to severe weight gain.
In a YouTube video documenting Katie’s time with her family across the New Year, she revealed her eldest son now weighs “just under 30 stone” and she is seen having a conversation with him about his weight and plans to get him ‘fit’ and ‘healthy’ this year.
The moment, which is captured on New Year’s Eve, shows Katie sitting on a bed while her son Harvey stands next to her”. What we’re gonna do this year is get very, very healthy so you can get on those rollercoasters for your birthday, “she tells Harvey, who replies with a request to go on the Grand National roller coaster in Blackpool. She then says:” Oh you wanna go on that one? That’s easier than America to get to. Well we can do that. “
